30 minutes Fire & Smoke rating. Fully sealed back plate & fully sealed letter plate flaps. Intumescent fire liner. Adjustable door thickness from 40-65mm. Supplied complete with internal flap and aperture liner. Choice of letter plate finish. Integral sound dampening bumpers.
The Intumescent telescopic letter box system range is specially designed to increase the safety and security of occupants against fire. The range includes models which are fire & smoke rated for 30 minutes and are particularly suitable for multiple occupancy residential buildings.
The standard size our most popular 272mm x 70mm comes as a 30 minute rated telescopic intumescent letterbox system with a black frame and available in Satin Nickel, Satin Aluminum, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Aluminum or Gold Anodised letter plate flaps.
Cut out required on this size is 241mm x 57mm. Our larger commercial size of 306mm x 70mm comes as a 30 minute rated telescopic intumescent letterbox system with a black frame and available in Satin Nickel, Satin Aluminum, Polished Brass or Polished Chrome letter plate flaps. Cut out required on the commercial range is size is 274mm x 57mm
The systems are fitted with an intumescent liner around the telescopic sleeve section of the letterplate. In the event of a fire the intumescent liner expands to seal the letterbox aperture and retains the fire integrity of the door.
Suitable and tested for use up to 1050mm from floor level and adjustable to suit door thicknesses from 40mm – 65mm. Smoke Tested to BS 476 Part 31.1 with a fully sealed back plate and letter plate flaps there is no need for an integral brush seal.
